Concrete Cancer Repair around Caloundra
The sheet says: The area is a renowned tourist destination with high scenic amenity created by the coastline and back drop of the Glass House Mountains. The eastern area comprises beachside suburbs and rocky headlands. It lists the constraints as: constraints to further development include flooding, coastal hazards, bushfire, steep and unstable land, native vegetation, current transport infrastructure capacities, and major electricity infrastructure. It is from Sunshine Coast Council's material for its Proposed Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme, read on 31 October 2026, which is consultation material for a proposed scheme, not the scheme in force. The statement describes an area, not a property; it does not mention concrete cancer, and it does not say that any particular building has it.
A list of planning constraints is not a survey of any slab. If a concrete step, walkway or balcony edge is rust-stained or cracking, ask the provider what the quote assumes about the steel, and in a unit block ask the body corporate manager who is responsible.

Permits and Sunshine Coast Council rules
Whether a concrete repair here needs council consent is for Sunshine Coast Council to confirm; no source read for this site says. In a body corporate scheme, Queensland's regulations say the body corporate must maintain common property in good condition.
